Bordar ya no es cosa de abuelas

Desde hace una temporada me encuentro cosas bordadas super originales. Recuerdo cuando estando en el cole nos enseñaron a hacer punto de cruz.... por aquella época bordar florecillas y nombres con letras super recargadas me parecía cosa de abuelas.

Pero ahora está de moda bordar, y no solo hay patrones increíbles, sino que la imaginación pone el límite, desde bordarte una sudadera con los personajes de tu película o serie favorita, a cambiar la típica tela por cualquier soporte que te apetezca.

Creo que me voy a plantear lo de volver a coger la aguja ^_^


Since a few time I find so original embroidery things. I remember when I was at school, and they taught me how to make cross stitch. At that age, embroidery flowers and the names with so busy tipography it seemed to me granny things.

But now, embroidery is on fashion. You can find marvellous patterns. And your imagination is your only boundary!
Since embroider a hoody with your favourite film or serie characters. Or maybe change the usual fabric for another kind of canvas.

I think I'm going to take the needle again!! ^_^

Me ha parecido un proyecto precioso, y no solo a mi, mucha gente ha empezado a tomar parte en esta guerrilla jardinera, y Steve nos muestra en su blog, fotos de los jardines que empiezan a inundar los asfaltos de muchos paises de mundo.


It seems to me so beautiful project. And I think not only me, so many people have started to take part of this guerrilla gardening. And Steve shows us in his blog photos of the gardens growing all over the world.

Verde menta

Hace muchos años que hago pequeñas piezas, ya sea con abalorios, fieltro u otros materiales. Evidentemente después de tanto tiempo, tengo mi tienda de confianza al ladito de casa. Este viernes fui a Ónix y María me enseñó las novedades, nada más ver estas pequeños triángulos de cerámica, este collar llegó a mi mente. En cinco minutos salí con el colgado del cuello.

Es muy sencillo, cinco triángulitos de cerámica enfilados en un bastoncillo, rematamos ese bastoncillo con una anilla en cada extremo, y enganchamos ahí la cadena del largo deseado (esta es de 45 cm) y la rematamos con un mosquetón y una anilla.

Since long ago I do small things, either with beads, felt or another kind of materials. So, obviously I have my favourite shop near my house. Last friday I went to Onix and Maria showed me the new arrivals. At the moment I saw these small ceramic triangles, this necklace appeared in my mind. In five minutes I left the shop with it around my neck.

It is so easy, five triangles ceramic threaded onto a pin, finish off the pin with a ring at each extremity, and then hooked the chain to the desired length (this is 45 cm) and topped it with a trigger clasp and a jump ring.

Papercuts

Últimamente estoy fascinada con las piezas de papercut que encuentro en la red.

Estas piezas hechas en papel, pueden llevar horas y horas de trabajo. Encontramos desde los diseños más simples a elaborados cuadros con finas líneas de papel.

Dibujar y recortar parece sencillo; pero después de ver estas obras de arte no estoy tan segura de que sea tan sencillo.


Lately I'm fascinate with the papercut pieces I've found on the net.

Those paper pieces it could have a lot of hours of work. We can find since the simple to the most elaborate designs with small lines of paper.

Draw and cut it seems easy. But after watching these pieces of art I'm not so sure of that.

Hablando de sitios bonitos: Marita Ron Heritage Café

Allá por Abril os mostraba un sitio bonito. Hoy os traigo el Marita Ron Heritage Café, con ocasión del Chic Market visitamos este café.

Un antiguo ultramarios reconvertido en cafetería. Si os encontráis paseando por Los Cantones en A Coruña quizás nos os fijéis en su puerta,  pero nada más poner un pie dentro os trasladaréis a otro tiempo.


Back in April I showed you a nice place. Today I bring you the Marita Ron Heritage Café, with occasion of the Chic Market we visited this cafe.

An old grocery store transformed in a cafe. If you are walking around Los Cantones in A Coruña maybe you wouldn't notice its door, but in the moment you get in you'll move to another time.

Los suelos, las estanterías llenas de productos artesanales, la báscula que decora la barra... pequeños retazos de otra época, se mezclan con el estilo industrial y un poco marino de los focos que cuelgan sobre la barra.


The floors, the shelfs full of craft products, the scale who decorate the counter... small pieces from another time, are mix with an industrial and even maritime style of the lamps who hang over the counter.

Cada detalle es una pequeña sorpresa, parece increíble como una mezcla de estilos y objetos puede casar tan bien y crear un ambiente agradable y cómodo.

Every detail is a little surprise. It seems incredible how such a mix of styles and objects can work so good and create a nice and comfortable atmosphere.

Os recomiendo una visita a Marita Ron, y no olvidéis echar un ojo a su vitrina de bollería, no os podréis resistir ^_^

Pattern

Hace unas semanas os hablaba de mi reciente obsesión con los azulejos que forman mosaicos gráficos, con flores...

En la misma línea he ido recopilando "patterns", ¿cómo lo podríamos llamar en español?
Cuando estudiaba ya tenía una pequeña tendencia a agrupar pequeños dibujos en patrones, para convertirlos de fondos (por aquella época, los círculos de deferentes tamaños llenaban mis sketchbooks).

In the same line, I've been collecting "patterns". When I studied I had a little tendency to agroup small drawings in patterns, to use them in backgrounds (in that time, circles in diferent sizes filled my sketchbooks).

Azulejos

El pasado Octubre en Granada y esta Semana Santa en Porto... mi Pinterest se está llenando por momentos de estas maravillas de la cerámica.

Han tenido épocas de mayor o menor apogeo, incluso han llegado a estar totalmente demodé, pero os advierto, dentro de poco nos pelearemos por tener los azulejos de nuestras abuelas.

Estos patrones gráficos, están invadiendo revistas de decoración tanto en sus versiones más vintage, como en versiones más modernas como en papeles pintados, o con colores innovadores.

My cup of tea

Soy una gran fan del té, bueno del té y de todo lo que conlleva, desde el pastelito, pasta o sandwich de turno, pasando por esas maravillosas teteras y tacitas.

Hoy os enseño tacitas, unas tacitas muy especiales, son de papel, ¡¡me han encantado!!

I´m a big fan of the tea, well of the tea and everything about it, the cake, the cookies or the sandwich, and of course, of those wonderful teapots and teacups.

Today I show you these little cups, a very special cups, there are made of paper, I've loved them!!
Their creator: Next to Nicx, this designer give us the template to made them at home and we can use them for cupcakes, biscuits, little presents, used as gift boxes or original packaging.

Hablando de sitios bonitos: La Guinda

Esta semana hablando con una compañera de trabajo, comentábamos lo mucho que nos gustan los sitios diferentes y con encanto para tomar un té... no solo para tomar un té, comer tomar una copa...

Así que dándole vueltas a la cabeza me puse a busca y captura de lugares con esas características. Aquí os traigo el primero (habrá más, no ceso en mi búsqueda).

La Guinda, un café restaurante en Donosti que he conocido gracias a Cool Spaces in Donosti. Las fotos hablan por si mismas.

So I started my hunting for places with these features.

Sandra Isaksson, ilustradora y diseñadora gráfica sueca, fundadora y directora de diseño de la marca ISAK.

Para los que no conozcáis ISAK, es una marca de productos para el hogar "Beautiful Happy Thing" sería la descripción perfecta, porcelana, bandejas, textiles, papel pintado, papelería, posters.... objetos llenos de color con un diseño alegre y llamativo, ese diseño "sueco" que tanto nos gusta.

Estoy segura de que si tenéis una pequeña tienda en Esty, Dawanda ..., dentro de vuestro propio blog, o incluso una tienda física, os va a encantar la idea.
Ojalá hubiera descubierto Self Packaging hace unos años cuando mi tiendecita Xouxere funcionaba.

Me encanta sus cajitas y la cantidad de diseños y tamaños diferentes que puedes encontrar, poder personalizarlos a mi manera y poder comprar sin una cantidad mínima establecida.

I'm sure if you have a little shop in Esty, Dawanda..., in your own blog, or even a regular shop, you're going to love the idea.
I wish I'd discovered Self Packaging a couple of years ago when my little shop Xouxere worked.
